In the Lower Silesia region, in Jawor, a new stage of building of the Mercedes Factory has started
The building of the Mercedes-Benz’s engine factory in Jawor in the Lower Silesia region is speeding up. Only six month after the foundation works have been initiated, on the 5th of February 2018 the first steel prop for the plant’s largest production and assembly hall was installed. In the final stage there are going to be 650 of the steel props in the hall. STRABAG, TKT Engineering and Elektromontaż-Poznań consortium are now the main executors of the structural works. In the production hall, which is currently under construction, ultra-modern and highly advanced machining and assembly lines will be installed, which will be able to produce 600 000 engines per year. The building of the production hall (excluding the production technology), together with the adjacent office building, with the total usable floor space of 98 200 m2 is planned by the Consortium - the main constructor - to be carried out by the end of 2018.
