Mera SPA Hotel, Sopot, Poland.

The spa complex with a hotel part called Magic of the sea is located in Sopot and belongs to the "Legend Hotels" network. The building combines merits of SPA with luxurious commercial functions. Apart from 150 hotel rooms and a SPA there are also restaurants located on two floors as well as an external and internal swimming pool. The building's irregular horse-shoe shape with a rectangular layout opens toward the sea, the promenade and the quay. The object is harmoniously embedded into the surrounding landscape. The use of a vast range of natural materials and motives (rocks, water-pools) resembles the cosy buildings amongst the sea-coast dunes. The facade covered with naturally ageing wood and huge glass panels refers to Scandinavian modernism with its simplicity. The terrace, which includes a pool, is located on the roof in the central portion of the building.
